Environmentally friendly: Kikr shorts are made from REPREVE, a material from the United States made from recycled PET bottles. There are approximately 6 recycled bottles in each short. The material is GRS and Oeko-tex certified, which means that it meets high environmentally friendly standards, is free from hazardous chemicals, and is made under good working conditions. The shipping materials that Kikr uses are also made from recycled materials. Finally, the Kikr Shorts webshop is made by a sustainable website builder.

Fair Trade: The production of Kikr Shorts takes place in Bangkok in Thailand. The owner of Kikr visits the factory annually and can confirm that the working conditions are good, as are the working hours, and the workers have their own workers' union. The wage that is paid is minimum wage and not a living wage. For this reason, Kikr Shorts has not been given the "Fair Trade" label of Project Cece. Kikr Shorts would like to bring production to Portugal in the future, so that they have fewer transport emissions and better control over working conditions.
