Over the last few years we have hosted several workshops, providing guests with the unique opportunity to co-create their own luxury pieces. We know that our dates and times don't always work with everyone's schedule, which is why we are opening up the calendar. For groups of 5 makers or more, we will create an entirely private event - just for you.
You and your guests will learn how to design and make your own Fire & Hide clutch or crossbody bag, duffel, purse, wallet, tote, washbag, cardholder or belt. Elvis & Kresse will welcome you to their workshop at Tonge Mill, an incredible piece of history originally built in 1837 and restored by Elvis & Kresse in 2013.
The Elvis & Kresse Fire & Hide Collection combines stunning rescued leather with our signature decommissioned fire-hose. We rescue leather off-cuts from the production of Burberry leather goods and have recently launched a 5 year partnership with the Burberry Foundation to change the future of leather waste. We have designed a lego-like system which allows us to transform small, seemingly unusable leather pieces into whole new hides.
On the day we will have a wide selection of leather colours and textures for you to choose from. You will learn how to design and assemble your very own piece. Whatever colour or pattern you choose, it will be entirely your own. The skilled crafts team at Elvis & Kresse will then finish your piece and send it out to you in our wonderful reclaimed packaging. If you would like to combine your workshop with an overnight stay, please do let us know. We will happily help you to find local accommodation.
This amazing experience is ideal for all kinds of groups or teams. It includes drinks and nibbles, a chance to meet Elvis & Kresse and a genuine behind the scenes experience with sustainable luxury pioneers.
50% of the profits from our rescued leather collection are donated to renewable energy projects.WORKSHOP DETAILS

Since 2005, Elvis & Kresse have been saving raw materials, transforming them into luxury lifestyle accessories, and giving away half of their profits to charity. For example, Elvis & Kresse uses the leather scraps from Burberry in the United Kingdom, material that would otherwise be discarded.
Ethically produced: Elvis & Kresse bags are ethically made in England. They pay their employees above a real living wage and are an accredited Living Wage Employer. The label has its own production location and this is a certified social enterprise as well as a founding UK B Corporation.
Eco-friendly: Elvis & Kresse makes bags from niche repurposed material. They collect 15 different waste streams and reuse them. From fire hose to leather waste to tea sacks. The full list can be found on their website! The label also purifies their own water and is building a fully circular water purification system so that no water leaves the site. In a few years they hope to be completely self-sufficient with their own water. All packaging is made by hand in their workshop in Kent. Also made from reused materials, such as old printing blankets and parachute silk.
Locally produced: The collections are made entirely locally in England, from local materials.
Good cause: Elvis & Kresse donate 50% of their profits to charities. Their charity partners are the Fire Fighters Charity and Barefoot College.
