Short description

Dream Out Loud: We dedicated this lovely soft pullover to Martin Luther King Jr., as he inspired us with his speech “I Have a Dream” and advocated for nonviolent methods of protest.

What's special about it? The light and soft fabric, the round collar and its lovely colours give Martin's pullover an elegant smart-casual look.

What is it made of? 70% certified organic cotton, 30% superfine baby alpaca. This material is soft and healthy for children’s skin, as well as light and comfortable to wear.

Care for a tip? Wool programme in washing machine, dry flat.

When to wear? When the weather is cool or cold.

The Extra Smile makes ethical children's fashion: colourful, fresh and with respect for people and the environment. This brand wants to bring a smile to everyone who comes into contact with their clothing: the farmer who harvests the cotton, the seamstress who lovingly sews the cuffs, the children who wear them and the adults who (try to) keep the clothing in good condition. The Extra Smile works with two fair trade workshops in Cambodia. They had a good look at these workshops before they decided that they wanted their clothes to be made there. Nowadays they visit the workshops regularly. To give something back to the local population in Cambodia, the brand contributes to the French NGO Pour Un Sourire D’Enfants, to support the children. The clothing is made from GOTS certified organic cotton. In addition, clothing is made from leftover fabrics and prints are made to order. The collection of the brand is currently vegan, but they are looking at an Alpaca collection with cruelty-free Alpaca wool from an Alpaca farm that they often visit.
