About the brand

Théla ‘plastic bags’ in Hindi and it refers to the brand's production process. A very accurate name, as the brand repurposes local waste into premium fashion and home accessories.

Eco-friendly: Théla addresses the global plastic waste crisis by making it economically attractive to collect plastic. Besides this, they use deadstock materials and organic cotton.

Fair Production: The waste is collected locally, cleaned and cut by hand into yarn and finally handwoven on traditional handlooms by artisans. The facilities they work with are either relatively small and visited often, or hold certifications like GOTS, Fairtrade and/or OEKO-TEX.

Vegan: Théla does not use any materials derived from animals.
