Rachel McMillan is an award-winning sustainable brand established in 2015.  The company is based in Scotland, UK and Rachel works from a small studio in her hometown Glasgow. So far all sampling and manufacturing are completed in-house. This allows for quick turn arounds (yes even for made to order!) and the best of the best quality control! Every garment is made with love, care and precision by either Rachel or one her skilled freelancers in Rachel's own studio. As the business grows Rachel would love to be able to hire full-time makers to the company. Contemporary digital prints are synonymous with the brand, with each new collection featuring fun and distinctive prints available in a range of fabrics such as GOTS certified organic cotton, linen and hemp. Off-cuts of digitally printed fabrics are used to make a unique range of zero-waste accessories including tote bags and scrunchies. As a small business, it has not yet been possible to visit the location where materials come from often, however, Rachel regularly attends sustainable fabric conferences and sourcing events to meet face-to-face with suppliers and build trusting relationships. The brand still has 1 silk dress in its collection, but as soon as this dress is sold out, the collection will be and remain completely vegan.
