Brand: Alchemist

The Dutch brand Alchemist makes high-end fashion, under fair working conditions and from sustainable fabrics. To reduce their CO2 emissions, they produce within Europe as much as possible. The precise figures? 80% in Portugal, 5% in Macedonia and the remaining 15% in Delhi, India. That production takes place in an ethical way is so important to them that since 2016 they have only been working with factories that have one or more certifications and that annually get audited by (independent) NGOs such as BSCI, FWF, SA8000 and GOTS. In addition, since 2015 they have employed someone who is only working on making the brand more sustainable. In terms of materials, the brand works with Tencel, Modal (from Austrian beech wood), organic cotton (GOTS certified) and recycled fabrics.
