Established 33 years ago, ERIBÉ is a knitwear design house and manufacturer based in Melrose, in the Scottish Borders. Like a wonderful extended family, ERIBÉ is all about the people involved - the team, hand-knitters, mills, suppliers, agents, buyers and YOU- the customer. Great attention is paid to every single person involved in their supply chain. ERIBÉ pieces are made using knowledge handed down from one generation to the next, so that you can own a sustainable product which not only looks and feels great, but lasts for years to come.
Ethically and locally produced: Crafted from quality, natural yarns spun in Britain, they knit garments and accessories for women, men and children, and also interiors. ERIBÉ's hand-knitters lovingly craft these pieces by hand, using either two or four knitting needles. This makes each piece truly unique! Lots of the hand-knitters knit simply for the pure joy of it. “To hand-knit something, I get enjoyment from it and if somebody likes to buy it and wear it, it makes me feel good!” says Val Hamilton from Glasgow.
Eco-friendly: We love natural fibres such as lambswool and merino, because they keep you truly warm. The sheep roam free, often eating seaweed from the shores.
