Brand: VILDNIS

VILDIS is a Danish fashion brand that doesn't want to compromise on ethics. Vildnis means wildness or wilderness in Danish and reflects their connection to nature and their wild, carefree style.

Fair trade: The jersey knit products are made in Braga, Portugal, by a manufacturer called IFM. This factory is run by four brothers and their factory is audited by SMETA - SEDEX.

The woven products are made by Anish India Exports, a manufacturer in India that is SA8000 certified. This guarantees good working condition.

Finally, the knitted products are made Lithuania, by a small family-run business.

Environmentally friendly: VILDIS uses sustainable materials. The materials they use are:

  • Organic linen sourced from France.
  • GOTS or OCS certified organic cotton.
  • TENCEL® lyocell, a sustainable material made from wood pulp.
  • Ultrafabrics® polyurethane, a sustainable vegan alternative for leather.
  • Recycled polyester
  • Elastane (not sustainable yet)

VILDIS has even more sustainable goals. They want 100% of their fabrics to be designed for recyclability, and to be made of sustainable materials, for instance.

Vegan: This brand is completely vegan.
