All leather is processed in the Sheong Shi Tannery in India (Kolkata) so that O My Bag can make bags out of it. This is done in an environmentally friendly way, without the use of hazardous chemicals (independently tested by SGS) and with the smallest possible "carbon footprint". They also ensure that all waste water that is released is treated and cleaned before it is discharged. The people who work at Sheong Shi Tannery are treated fairly, they receive insurance, retirement and help with their rent and education. They see themselves as a large family where everyone is indispensable.
