Apple skin is made from the waste of juicing apples under a proprietary technology in Italy. The beautiful vegan leather is transported to our factory in Portugal where workers are treated with the utmost respect and love. This is where the magic happens and they handcraft these beautiful shoes - featuring a hand embroidered LaBante logo and our sustainability message at the back.

Shop Like You Give a Damn is an online vegan & fair department store, started out of the frustration of vegan shopping. The founders of Shop Like You Give a Damn wanted to be able to shop easily, with a wide range of stylish clothing, shoes, bags and cosmetics, of which you know for sure that they are vegan. Still quite tricky, because often you only find out after ordering that there is a leather patch on the jeans, that some wool has been processed in a sweater, or that the glue in the shoes is not vegan (if you ever find out).
Fortunately, there is a wide range of vegan products that are also made fairly and sustainably. These products are only fragmented over the internet in small webshops. Shop Like You Give a Damn brings all these products together in an online department store, where they have researched for you why and in what way a product is sustainable and of course whether it is actually vegan. This makes vegan shopping fun and easy!
