Short description

We designed Ivy's tunic with fun girls in mind, wearing it as a short summer dress, or as a long mid-season blouse with a pair of leggings or our Milo pants.

What’s special about it? Slantwise seam at the bottom, its cotton embroidery, the halter top and of course the unique cotton poppy print is the ultimate ethical chic look for any occasion.

What is it made of? Made in Cambodia by Fairsew. Vegan, printed made-to-order Cambric organic cotton (GOTS certified), 100% cotton embroidery.

What do the kids say? "In summer, I wear it as a dress, but because I like it so much, I wear my tunic also in spring and in autumn, with my trousers," says Ivy, "I like the flowers and the dress is nice and soft."

Care for a tip? Hand washing in cold water with a gentle detergent is highly recommended. If you choose to wash Ivy in a washing machine, use a gentle detergent and the cold cycle programme.

Turning clothes inside out before washing and drying can prevent from fading. Line drying is recommended.

When to wear? Ivy's tunic can be worn in spring, summer and autumn, with temperatures between 18 and 38 degrees Celsius or between 64 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Extra Smile makes ethical children's fashion: colourful, fresh and with respect for people and the environment. This brand wants to bring a smile to everyone who comes into contact with their clothing: the farmer who harvests the cotton, the seamstress who lovingly sews the cuffs, the children who wear them and the adults who (try to) keep the clothing in good condition. The Extra Smile works with two fair trade workshops in Cambodia. They had a good look at these workshops before they decided that they wanted their clothes to be made there. Nowadays they visit the workshops regularly. To give something back to the local population in Cambodia, the brand contributes to the French NGO Pour Un Sourire D’Enfants, to support the children. The clothing is made from GOTS certified organic cotton. In addition, clothing is made from leftover fabrics and prints are made to order. The collection of the brand is currently vegan, but they are looking at an Alpaca collection with cruelty-free Alpaca wool from an Alpaca farm that they often visit.
