Each Gerrie Janssen handbag was designed by Gerrie herself in her studio in London. Gerrie Janssen's handbags are a luxury product that will last a lifetime. A rough sketch by Gerrie is developed into a technical design, which is then brought to life by a team of skilled professionals in a small factory. Taking into account the learning process of a month, as well as the diligent craftsmanship of the employees, it can take up to 8 weeks from start to finish to make a bag. Every bag is made to order. The bags are made from vegetable-tanned eco-leather from Scandinavia, processed in Tuscany, Italy and processed in Romania in the little leather factory under fair working conditions. The factory where the final bags are made protects the employees by paying above the minimum wage. All products are produced locally within Europe to keep the CO2 footprint low.
