Brand: nuuwaï

nuuwaï is a vegan bag brand. They make bags from innovative materials such as apple and corn leather.

Fair trade: The products are produced in Germany and Spain under fair working conditions.

Environmentally friendly: nuuwaï uses sustainable materials for their products. The materials they use are:

  • AppleSkin®: This leather replacement is made from waste from the apple juice industry. The material consists of 26% apple waste, 16% cotton, 20% polyester, and 38% polyurethane. This material is both OEKOTEX (free from harmful chemicals) and Peta-Approved certified.
  • UltraWer®: This is a leather replacement made from corn. It is made from corn grown for industrial use (so not for food). The material consists of 50% recycled polyester, 35% bio-based polyuethane from corn, and 15% polyurethane.
  • Recycled polyester: The lining of the bags is made of recycled polyester made from European recycled PET bottles.
  • Recycled polyester felt: For the place mats, nuuwaï uses felt made from recycled PET. This felt is made in Finland, and is OEKOTEX 100 and GRS certified.

nuuwaï only uses plastic free packaging material. The hang tags are made from recycled paper, including coffee cups. With every online order, they support initiatives to protect forests.

Vegan: nuuwaï is a completely Peta-approved vegan brand.
