Teiruma has created a family of female Waayu artisans that help each other to create new designs from quality leather that is combined with other materials to make the Teiruma bags. Next to a lot of respect for the communities, a fair price is paid for their hard work. To do more to make the communities more sustainable, Teiruma has set up the Fundación Corazón de Papel. This foundation has been able to donate solar panels to the community so that there is energy in the villages and the women can also work in the light.
