This lovely Scarf Lilac is ecofriendly and fairtrade. It will cheer you up! This Scarf is handwoven om a backstrap-loom with natural cotton hand-dyed with a natural lilac color extracted from plants and flowers.

These scarves are handmade by members of the fairtrade collective Kem Ajachel from Solola, Guatemala. The collective Kem Ajachel is formed by 70 talented artisans.

With your purchase you are helping them to support their household and to send their children to school for a better future.

Brand: Quetzal Artisan is a brand that brings handmade and hand-woven products from North, Central and South America to Europe. The goal of Quetzal Artisan is to stimulate fair trade and to give real craftsmanship a stage. Quetzal Artisan has different collections that all try to make the world a bit better in their own way. 

Fair Trade: The wool collection is designed and woven by women in Canada and the Guatemalan textile collection is made by skilled women from Guatemala. The Guatemalan women make beautiful designs that combine traditional and modern and they get paid fair wages for their work, which ensures that they can support their children. 

Environmentally Friendly: For the wool collection Quetzal Artisan uses materials such as bamboo, alpaca wool, and organic cotton, which are spun in the Andes mountains of South America. For the Guatemalan collection, they only use natural materials such as cotton and viscose, and they paint by hand using natural paint products such as tree bark and flowers.
