Nele Druys started the brand to create awareness about how materials and clothes are treated in the fashion industry. By focusing on 6 values (local, craftmanship, circular, conscious, ecological and transparent), BROL contributes to a responsible alternative in the fashion industry.

Fair trade: Almost all BROL items are made by Nele with the hand-knitting machine in her studio in Belgium.

Eco friendly: To prevent overproduction (and impulse purchases!) the majority of the collection is made-to-order. This means that, apart from a small stock of accessories, the items are made when you place your order. Extra special is that you can also order items based on your actual measurements; so you will have an item that fits you perfectly!

BROL uses wool from DutchMerino, recycled cotton and labels made from residual flows from local businesses.

Your order will also be shipped in 100% recycled packaging material and as much packaging as possible is reused.

Finally, BROL offers repair- and recycling services to help your BROL item last a lifetime.

Locally produced: Not only are BROL's items handmade in Nele's workshop in Belgium, but she also uses wool from Dutch sheep and viscose made from surplus yarn from a Belgian knitting factory.
