About the brand
Why would you choose real leather when there are such beautiful vegan alternatives? That’s the question Venus is Vegan’s founder Nikita wants you to ask. She started Venus is Vegan out of her desire to make veganproof shoes that actually look good and with that, seduce even those who are not vegan, into the vegan side of life.
Eco-friendly: Venus is Vegan uses Italian apple leather, which is a non-animal derived alternative to regular leather and consists of at least 50% recycled apple fibres.
Local & ethical production: The shoes are handcrafted in Portugal, from Italian apple leather.
Vegan: The brand does not use animal-derived materials in any of its products.

Shop Like You Give a Damn is an online vegan & fair department store, started out of the frustration of vegan shopping. The founders of Shop Like You Give a Damn wanted to be able to shop easily, with a wide range of stylish clothing, shoes, bags and cosmetics, of which you know for sure that they are vegan. Still quite tricky, because often you only find out after ordering that there is a leather patch on the jeans, that some wool has been processed in a sweater, or that the glue in the shoes is not vegan (if you ever find out).
Fortunately, there is a wide range of vegan products that are also made fairly and sustainably. These products are only fragmented over the internet in small webshops. Shop Like You Give a Damn brings all these products together in an online department store, where they have researched for you why and in what way a product is sustainable and of course whether it is actually vegan. This makes vegan shopping fun and easy!
