Shop Citron Jaune

Citron Jaune was founded by Jenny Randria, a Madagascar fashion designer trained in Paris. Fashion is in Jenny's blood because her grandparents were tailors and embroiderers. Jenny combines her Malagasy style with the sophistication of the Parisian woman to create beautiful clothes for girls from 4 months to 14 years old and adult women.

Why fair? Citron Jaune produces all of their clothes in their own workshop in Madagascar. There they work under good working conditions for a living wage. Many of the materials are BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) certified, which means that cotton production takes place under good working conditions and that employees are not paid less than minimum wages.

Why environmentally friendly? Citron Jaune works for 90% with natural materials that are leftovers from factories. This is partly BCI cotton, which means that the cotton is produced in a more environmentally friendly way than regular cotton (it is not organic cotton). The other part is viscose. Citron Jaune also uses zebu horn and mother-of-pearl for the finishing of some products. These are OEKOTEX 100 certified (just like 95% of the other materials) and therefore free from hazardous chemicals. All materials are locally made.

Why a good cause? Citron Jaune is committed to empowering women on low incomes by providing them with decent work with fair wages.
