Bee & Alpaca is a fashion brand that wants to work towards eliminating waste in the fashion industry. They do this by saving deadstock fabrics and turning them into fashionable new items.
Fair trade: The clothing is ethically produced in Turkey. The minimum wage in Turkey is above the living wage, and the lowest paid workers are paid accordingly. The working hours are good (5 days a week, 8 hours a day), and the working environment is pleasant and clean.
Environmentally friendly: Bee & Alpaca only uses deadstock material. This is material of which too much was produced, or that couldn't be used due to small mistakes. Bee & Alpaca only uses fabrics that can’t or won’t be used in their current state by the current stocker for their regular customers. In this way, Bee & Alpaca, saves this material from being wasted and also doesn't need new material to be produced for their own collection. They find creative solutions to manage the imperfections in the fabrics and create trendy, and affordable pieces.
For every purchase made on their website, they plant a tree to offset some of their carbon emissions.
Vegan: Alpaca & Bee doesn't use any animal products.
