ELJO THE LABEL aims to bring fashion and sustainability together, as they believe sustainable items can be sophisticated and fashionable. Their items make you look pretty on the outside and inside!
Fair trade: ELJO THE LABEL produces their products in a factory in Parades, Portugal. Ellen, the owner of the brand, has visited the factory often and can guarantee good working conditions and fair wages. The materials are also sourced from local factories in Portugal. She has also visited these factories and can ensure good working conditions. These factories are all GOTS and GRS certified, which ensures both good working conditions and environmentally friendly production.
Environmentally friendly: ELJO THE LABEL only uses natural materials for their items. They use BCI certified cotton, so the cotton is grown under good working conditions and the farmers use more environmentally friendly methods (it is not organic). They also use a GRS certified blend of recycled cotton and BCI cotton, and viscose.
The packaging is eco-friendly, they don't use any plastic for their packaging. The polybags are plant based, the tissue paper are made of recycled and biodegradable materials, and the thank-you cards are made of recycled paper.
Locally produced: The clothing is produced in Portugal, and the materials are also produced there.
Vegan: ELJO THE LABEL doesn't use any animal materials.
